Touching others lives has always been important to me... from being a public school teacher for nine years to... uplifting women in pageantry... to spending hours and hours volunteering... I have always found a way to spend my time impacting others in a positive way.
As I think about how I can authentically continue to give back I have decided to combine my passion for cooking and volunteering to make my personal platform "Cook + Contribute" or ... Co + Co... or coco for short.
Recently I have incorporated a ton of coconut water into my cooking... it really has given me a new and fun way to create but it has also inspired the direction of this platform.
I currently spend every Wednesday delivering Meals on Wheels, I have my own Route C. I have also spent many hours, most recently Thanksgiving 2020, cooking and serving meals at The Salvation Army.
Through the Cook + Contribute platform I hope to bring awareness to these two, and possibly other, ways in which we can cook and contribute to positively impact others.
From now on I plan to use my cooking as a way to bring awareness to and inspire others to give back through cooking and sharing food.
